Gaza fights against polio: mass vaccination despite the start of conflict in danger!

In the Gaza Strip, the second round of vaccinations against paralysis of children has begun, despite the ongoing Israeli attacks, as confirmed by the World Health Organization (WHO). Around 590,000 children under the age of ten are to be vaccinated across the board. The vaccination campaign is carried out by the local health authorities and the UN organizations Unicef and Unrwa. Polio, a highly contagious infectious disease, can be transmitted by contaminated water and leads to permanent paralysis or even death.
