Experts reveal: This is how your fruit trees remain strong and healthy!

Current studies from the Universities of Hohenheim and Tübingen prove: The right tree cut is crucial for the health and yields of fruit trees! The so -called parenting cut ensures a stable growth structure in young trees, while the focus is on vitality in old trees. This was communicated by the district office Enzkreis and underlines the need for professional care measures.

In order to learn this important process, the Enzkreis Agricultural Office under the direction of fruit growing consultant Bernhard Reisch offers practical fruit tree cut courses. These take place in the winter months and convey participants to deal with tools such as conductor, scissors and saws. A three-day basic course from December 5th to 7th costs 100 euros and treats the cutting of half and high tribes as well as special types of fruit.
