Heroic deed in Pforzheim: Rescue dogs find missing person alive!
In a spectacular rescue operation in Pforzheim, two dog relays from the German Red Cross (DRK) and the rescue dog squad north Black Forest were mobilized in the early morning hours of Tuesday. The missing person, struck and disoriented, could be found alive after only three and a half kilometers by the talented mantrailer dog Quimper and his team. The dog, equipped with a smell signal, found the person on the Davosweg, who luckily was only slightly hypothermic.
Thanks to the fast and effective use of the rescue teams, under the direction of Sabine Maag from the Pforzheim police headquarters, the search was successfully completed. "We are very happy about the success of the rescue and the excellent cooperation with the local rescue dog relays," said Maag. Retriver quimper, excellently trained for his tasks, once again showed his skills in this emotional situation.
