Remchingen: Citizens can decide on wind farm in the Ranntal!
in Remchingen there is a heated debate about wind power projects in which the citizens can have a say in a possible wind farm in the Ranntal - but only about one of the two planned projects. While the Juwi company wants to develop three wind turbines in the state forest, the community has no influence here. Mayor Julia Wieland emphasizes that the areas of the state forest rule out the co -determination of the citizens, which makes the situation tense.
The ENBW project looks different: wind turbines are to be built on Kämpfelbach district, and the municipality has spoken out for a citizen participation right from the start. Christoph Ewen from the Forum Energiedialog made it clear that at different locations the potential effects such as noise and shadow throwing must also be taken into account. The municipal council supports a citizen participation, but the members of a citizens 'survey rejected and voted with 17 votes in favor of a citizens' decision to include the Remchingen citizens in the decision-making process. The discussion about wind power becomes a hot topic in the community, which brings both opportunities and challenges. For more information, see the current report on bnn.de .
