Erding lies the foundation stone for modern Anne-Frank-Gymnasium: a milestone!

In a solemn ceremony, the foundation stone for the extension of the Anne Frank High School in Erding took place on Tuesday. District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer led the event associated with the introduction of a time capsule. The extension comprises around 2,500 square meters and will accommodate several classrooms, specialist rooms for music, a group room and a cafeteria with space for 200 people. In addition, the district library is moved to the new premises and an impressive underground indoor career for athletics is realized on 480 square meters.

The new construction phase is part of the district's largest construction measure in this decade, which increases the school capacity of the high school from 1,000 to 1,300 students. Bayerstorfer emphasized the important investment in the formation of young people. In addition to him, the architect Wendelin Burkhardt and Mayor Max Gotz also took part in the ceremonial conversion of the time capsule. The work follows the recent conclusion of the triple gym, which is also part of the school premises. www.sueddeutsche.de .
