Court decides on controversial bicycle strips in Freising!

In an exciting new chapter in the dispute over the bicycle strips on Erdinger Straße in Freising, the administrative court has played a decisive role. The controversial wheel protection strips, which have been considering considerable discussions since June, are now on the brink. A resident had sued, and the court proposed a proposal for amicable settlement: Traffic attempts on Erdinger Strasse and the good ancients could end on December 31, provided that everyone involved agreed to the proposal.

judge Dr. Matthias Prinzler revealed that the parties have time until the end of the day to agree on it. Otherwise a judgment will be made in the next two weeks. After CSU City Councilor Rudi Schwaiger already referred to CSU City Council, the legal requirements for the traffic attempt were not met-and now the court has shared these concerns. While local companies criticize the loss of customer parking spaces and speak of a "catastrophe", bicycle associations such as the ADFC in the protective strips see an important step towards traffic safety, especially for students. On the part of the city of Freising, there is an official statement up to this point.
