Workers in Weimar: Strike ban causes excitement in the clinic!
The Erfurt labor court once again banned a warning strike of the ver.di union at the Sophien and Hufelandklinikum Weimar, since the strike was classified as "obviously illegal" on October 14th. The reason for this is the special church law, which significantly limits the employees' rights of co -determination. This comes across sharp criticism by Lena Saniye Güngör, the working and trade union policy spokeswoman for the group Die Linke in the Thuringian state parliament.
Güngör criticizes that the church sponsors, instead of stepping in dialogue with the employees, hide behind court decisions. It demands a real democratization of operational participation and warns that the tactics of the Diakonie will only further tighten the conflict in times of increasing personnel needs. The employees who do the same work as their private sector colleagues feel abandoned because their working conditions are not negotiated at eye level. Güngör also promised to support employees in the fight for fair conditions. More on this can be found in a report on www.die-linke-thl.de .
