Large theft on the train construction site: Federal Police urgently are looking for witnesses!

In the station area Leinefelde, two spectacular thefts have recently occurred, which the Federal Police Inspection Erfurt called on the scene. Between the 22nd and 28th August 2024, five high -quality precision machines worth around 100,000 euros disappeared from a flat car from the train that was supposed to transport the devices into another construction site. However, these remained without a trace.

Just a few days after this incident, theft occurred again: six track construction machines that were mechanically secured on a open space were stolen between October 16 and 21, 2024. At the scene of the crime, the investigators found only one chain and a lock. The federal police have prompted the various thefts to ask the population to help.
