Experience art: sculpture path in Filderstadt at the festival Now!
In the Weilerhau forest in Filderstadt-Plattenhardt, visitors can expect a fascinating sculpture path that is part of the festival "Now!" the Stuttgart cultural region was created. This special event runs until October 12th and brings art to nature where hikers can admire the impressive wooden sculptures. The works were manufactured during a sculptor symposium under the direction of Professor Georg Schumacher. On October 10th there is also a concert in the old town hall in Esslingen, where the American composer Molly Joyce focuses on. Admission is free!
Joyce, who uses her disability for Inspiration for your art, has created an order work especially for the festival. Together with works by renowned composers such as Phil Glass and Sarah Kirkland Snider, their music is performed in the Schickhardt Hall. This festival aims to offer people with disabilities a platform and to promote participation through art, which the curator team sees as an essential part of their program. The combination of nature and artistic work offers a unique way to experience and enjoy art up close. Details on the last festival days are available at www.esslinger-zeitung.de .
