Among the participants are the Norwegian Magnus Carlsen, the Indian player Dommaraju Gukesh and the German Vincent Keymer. Carlsen and Gukesh prevailed in the preliminary rounds, while prominent players such as Vladimir Fedoseev and Levon Aronian have already left. Gukesh reached the quarter -finals with an impressive performance in which he achieved seven draws and thus scored constantly. Carlsen won in a gripping duel against Gukesh after 46 trains and thus also secured the place in the quarter -finals.
