Doping drama for Jannik Sinner: CAS makes a decision uncertain!

The International Sports Court (CAS) has not yet announced an appointment for the decision in the case of the Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has lodged an objection to Sinner's acquittal, which was pronounced after two positive doping tests on the anabolic steroid closebol in March. The WADA demands a lock of one to two years, while Sinner, who triumphed at the US Open in early September, insists on his innocence. The responsible tennis agency ITIA has not proven intentional misconduct, which led to his acquittal.

Sinner expressed disappointed and surprised about the Wada complaint, which in his opinion does not correspond to the applicable rules. He explains that the substance had reached his body by his physiotherapist when he used a over-the-counter closebol-containing spray to treat an injury. The hearing of the CAS is still pending, and a specific date for this has not been mentioned so far, report sources from www.radioeuskirchen.de .
