FC Köln urges changes: Pyrotechnics must not be a crime!
The 1st FC Köln and twelve other Bundesliga clubs are on the barricade against the punishments of the German Football Association (DFB) for pyrotechnics in the stadium. These high fines, which no less pyro incidents do, are considered unjustified by the clubs. According to media reports, an upcoming security summit plans on Friday, October 18, 2024, in Munich, in which politicians and representatives of professional football take part in order to discuss the security of football games. It remains to be seen whether the 1. FC Köln's proposals come up.
In the past, Effzeh had to pay hundreds of thousands of euros due to pyro-escapades. A particularly sad record: over 400,000 euros after the last home derby against Borussia Mönchengladbach, where fireworks were ignited before the game in the south curve. The debate about the punishments remains highly topical, especially with regard to the upcoming discussions in Munich, as www.radioeuskirchen.de reports .
