Paris (dpa) - The 17th Paralympic Games in Paris have found a brilliant conclusion. At the final ceremony in the Stade de France, the atmosphere shone through an impressive light and music show, which was staged with almost 2000 projectors. On this special evening, 24 artists provided the musical accompaniment of the event. A highlight of the ceremony was the appearance of the French singer Santa, who initiated the celebrations with the iconic song "Vivre Pour Le Meilleur" by Johnny Hallyday.

The huge backdrop of the Stade de France was filled with around 64,000 spectators, including over 5,800 trainers, supervisors and athletes who attended the spectacle. This was a crowning conclusion of an exciting competition. An important part of the evening will be a parade of the athletes, which will take place in a similar manner as at the opening ceremony on the Avenue des Champs des Champs Élysées to Place de la Concorde.
