Nations League: DFB team celebrates quarter-finals with legends!

The German national soccer team qualified prematurely for the quarter-finals of the Nations League with a 1-0 win against the Netherlands. Debütant Jamie Leweling scored the decisive goal and not only took a big step for himself, but also for the team, which shone despite numerous failures. National coach Julian Nagelsmann was proud of the performance of his team, who gained strength through the additional competitive pressure of the substitute.

After the game, the players celebrated with the fans and honored the DFB legends Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller and Ilkay Gündogan. Nagelsmann emphasized the impressive choreography of the fans and praised the development of his team into a "winning team" that reports back with dominant appearances. Another look is aimed at the next challenges: In November there are two decisive group games against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Hungary, where the first place in the group and thus the move into the quarter-finals are at stake. According to Nagelsmann, however, there are still many steps on the way to the goal of successfully competing the 2026 World Cup.
