The term, derived from the Arabic "Tahal Lahon" - which means "come here" - stands in the final for the "youth word of the year", which is eagerly awaited. The brothers with style are known to fluff through the city center with fake luxury brands, abdominal pockets, training trousers and sparking gold chains - for many the sign of coolness! The cliché resonates that these young men often have a migration background. How is the winning word determined? It is simple: after a pre -selection from originally ten candidates can be coordinated online on the “Jugendwort.de” website! The decision was made on October 19 during the Frankfurt Book Fair, where the winning word is announced live. Important: The voices only count from young people! Only the opinions of the age group between 11 and 20 years are in charge! The terms that the voting want to win must be firmly anchored in the everyday vocabulary of the youth.
