New main fire station in Neumarkt: Modern fire department center is being built on the Kurt-Romstöck-Ring

Neumarkt invests in the future of the fire brigade

The city of Neumarkt recently laid the foundation for the new main fire station. This important step marks a decisive investment in the future of the Neumarkt fire brigade. The new building on the Kurt-Romstöck-Ring had become necessary because the old fire station no longer met the requirements and urgently had to be modernized. In his speech, Mayor Markus Ochsenkühn emphasized the importance of the fire brigades, especially in view of the latest heavy rain cases, which were great challenges.

The city council unanimously made the decision to build a new building instead of a renovation of the old fire station. The project was approved with a budget of 27.2 million euros, with the Free State of Bavaria also providing a grant of 4.2 million euros for the construction. The new main fire station will offer space for 20 vehicles and be equipped with modern facilities, including workshops, wash halls, changing rooms, sanitary facilities, lounges, offices and training rooms.

The architectural design of the building will be shaped by a 100-meter-long U-shaped building with a separate hose tower. Environmentally friendly PV systems on the roof and the facade should ensure a sustainable power supply. The new fire station will not only be functional, but also energy -efficient, which contributes to a long -term relief for the environment.

The construction of the new main fire station shows the commitment of the city of Neumarkt for the security and efficiency of your fire brigade. With the modern facilities and equipment, the Neumarkt fire brigade will also meet future requirements and can effectively protect the city's citizens.
