Werften in need: SSW asks the state government to comment!

Because of the alarming situation at the shipyards FSG in Flensburg and Nobiskrug in Rendsburg, the SSW (Südschleswigscher Voterverband) calls for a comprehensive report by the state government in the state parliament's economic committee. SSW MP Sybilla Nitsch criticized that the MPs were only informed about the situation about the media and urgently demanded clarity about the future of the shipyards and the remaining employees. Economic Minister Claus Ruhe Madsen (CDU) must explain what perspectives there are for the companies and why the situation should now be made a top priority.

In the meantime, Madsen spoke in favor of an entry of the country into the craving shipyards of the investor Lars Windhorst. The minister emphasized that the comparison with the Meyerwerft was out of place because it was fully utilized, while FSG only edited a single order. On Monday it was also announced that 500 of the remaining 530 workers of the shipyards were released. These developments have made renewed demands for state intervention loud, while the two shipyards are exposed to enormous economic pressure.
