The Frankfurt Book Fair 2024 takes place from October 16 to 20, open daily from 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., on Sunday until 5:30 p.m. Private visitors who are not trade visitors can enter the fair from Friday at 2 p.m. There is an important innovation for ticket sales: Tickets for private individuals have to be purchased online because there will be no longer any cash on site. Buchmesse GmbH announced that the available number of tickets is limited in order to guarantee visitors a safe experience and expects the tickets to be sold out quickly for the trade fair.

The ticket prices are also set: a day ticket costs 28 euros, a weekend ticket 52 euros, and the afternoon stick for Friday costs 22 euros, valid from 2 p.m. Discounted tickets are available for 16 euros. In addition, children up to 6 years have free admission. It is important to note that private visitors do not receive free public transport tickets for the fair; These have to be bought separately.
