Massive flight cancellations at Frankfurt Airport due to technical disorder!

On Friday, October 4, a technical disorder in German air traffic control (DFS) led to considerable delays and flight cancellations at Frankfurt Airport. Almost 100 flights were painted by the afternoon, as the operator Fraport confirmed. Other large airports such as Berlin, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart also felt the effects of this breakdown. Although the problem has been fixed at around 10:25 a.m., travelers are expected to expect delays and possibly further cancellations until the evening.

The DFS has explained that there were problems when the airplan data and weather information was transferred. Despite the quick return to normalcy, there could still be major challenges for passengers. Fraport urgently advised the passengers to check their flight status regularly and to plan enough time to arrive at the airport. Long -haul flights have so far not been affected by the deletions, but impairments in the entire airline could continue to occur, according to a spokesman for Lufthansa. Further information is available on the websites of the respective airlines or on the hotline 01806-Frainfo.
