Pasewalker Buchhaus Lange: award as an excellent bookstore
In the living world of bookstores, the Pasewalker Buchhaus recently received a remarkable award. On Sunday, the bookstore of Minister of Culture Claudia Roth was honored as a "excellent bookstore". For book lovers and local culture, this is an important event because it focuses on the passion and commitment of the operators and employees.
The award took place in Frankfurt (Oder), where numerous bookstores from all over Germany came together to be recognized for their excellent performance. Katrin and Michael Lange and her employee Silvia Maciej represent the Pasewalker Buchhaus Lange and were among the 118 excellent book stores that were wearing the seal of approval. This price not only emphasizes the quality of the bookstore, but also sets a sign of the importance of personal bookstores in an increasingly digitized world.
Financial support and recognition
The title "Excellent" also has financial advantages for the Pasewalker Buchhaus. Together with 99 other shops in this category, you will receive a bonus of 7,000 euros. This financial support will enable booksellers to develop their business further and possibly tackle new projects. At the same time, the connection to the reading culture is also strengthened by organizing appealing events and readings.
In addition to the award for the Pasewalker Buchhaus Lange, other bookstores were also recognized for their extraordinary service and their commitment. Examples of this are "The Little Literature House" in Gingst on Rügen, "Littera et Cetera" in Schwerin, and "Schmitt’s in Mirow". These award ceremonies underline the variety and the cultural -rich offer that can be found in German bookstores.
In addition to the "excellent bookstores", Claudia Roth also honored five "particularly outstanding bookstores", each awarding 15,000 euros. These bookstores are located in Kassel, Quedlinburg, Burscheid (North Rhine-Westphalia), Freiburg and Saarbrücken. These awards show a wide range of literary initiatives in various regions of Germany.
In the highest category, the "best bookstores", only three shops were awarded, each received 25,000 euros. These are located in Bonn, Munich and Kamenz (Saxony). The awards not only promote the individual bookstore, but also the entire book trade landscape in Germany.
