Hohenkammer thanks 240 flood helpers with a big festival!
In Hohenkammer, a moving helper festival recently took place to thank the approximately 240 emergency services for their tireless efforts after the devastating glonn flood in June. Mayor Mario Berti paid tribute to the helpers who, despite their own challenges, were on hand. "You all had enough to do with you at home. This help is not a matter of course," he said in his speech.
The community had organized an extensive buffet with suckling pig and other specialties for the festival, in the multi -purpose hall - a gesture that should send the thank you to in thick letters. The V-home manager Alfred Kopp, himself affected by the flood, coordinates the culinary offers. Berti emphasized that despite the challenges, due to the great solidarity of the helpers and the donations, the costs of the festival will remain minimal. He recalled those present of the emotional dramas and the persistent damage that the flood left behind, and expressed the desire that all those affected can soon live in their normalities.
