New office building in Langenargen: modern, sustainable and future -oriented
Die Strabag GmbH and the ED. Züblin AG created a new office building on the Krumme Jauchert campus in Langenargen, which is not only modern, but also sustainable. With an investment of around four million euros, the construction was realized within one year and creates space for 54 new jobs.
sustainable construction as a target
A central aspect of the new building is the use of natural and sustainable building materials. The decision to use a timber construction expands the environmentally friendly properties of the building. With the construction of 264 cubic meters of wood, 170 tons of CO2 could be saved compared to traditional construction methods.
Expansion of the infrastructure for growing companies
The expansion of the campus had become necessary because both companies grew strongly and the existing capacities were no longer sufficient. "The new extension is connected to the main building via a connection," explains Dipl. Ing. Jochen Keller. The redesign of the outdoor facilities comprises 3,100 square meters and largely uses local plants, which contributes to promoting biodiversity.
modern jobs in the new building
The new office building offers an open office structure that meets the changing way of working and the growing team. Ed. Züblin AG benefit from the latest technology and a spacious lounge that is also used as an employee café. This not only promotes communication, but also the satisfaction of the employees.
The aesthetic and technical added value
The new building combines modern architecture with practical functions. The glass transition connects both buildings and ensures light -flooded rooms. In addition, the foyer was converted into an inviting reception area with the support of the Konrad Knoblauch company from Markdorf. The integration of open lines and exposed concrete proves that an appealing design and resource conservation can go hand in hand.
look into the future
The Ed. Züblin AG and Strabag GmbH have ambitious goals: all construction projects should be climate -neutral by 2030, and a climate -neutral company will be sought by 2035. The new building is not only a step in the right direction, but also a signal for the industry, what sustainable building can look like today.
