Kimberley, the young archer: A dream will be true in gallop!
Kimberley, 14 years old, made a name for herself as a talented rider and archer. She has been riding since childhood and has also practiced archery. Her mother Annemiek came across a video about horse arch shooting, which aroused Kimberley's interest in this exciting sport. Although her first lesson was painful, she quickly developed a passion for sport and describes the feeling of hit a destination in a gallop with an arrow and sheet, as fantastic.
In the Netherlands, about 200 riders are prescribed for horse formation. This sport is divided into three categories: Tower, Hunt and Raid. The distances, goals and time specifications vary. Kimberley, as the only junior in the Dutch team, qualified for the Grand Prix in Italy, which is the fulfillment of a dream for her. She trains as often as possible to improve her skills. Another advantage is that it is never nervous during competitions, which is of great benefit when shooting from the galloping horse.
