Fulda jealousy ends in violence: two men condemned to court

in Fulda there was again a brutal incident that exceeds the legal and social limits. A 38-year-old, who had recently been convicted of manslaughter, is again the focus of the judiciary. This time he was sentenced to a 51-year-old at Jerusalemplatz for a violent attack. During the negotiation on August 27, 2024, it turned out that the accused and his accomplice acted out of jealousy and bitterness.

The argument was already on February 17, 2024 when the 51-year-old traveled to the park on the assumption that the defendant agreed to make a relaxing meeting. Judge Ulrich Jahn described, like the 38-year-old, possibly out of jealousy, made an insidious plan after the injured party had given his girlfriend a Valentine's Day voucher. This was the detonator for the brutal attack, in which the victim suffered serious injuries to poput-load broken ribs and an eye injury.

The details of the brutal attack

In the run -up to the attack, the accused planned the meeting to carry out his revenge campaign. He secretly brought two accomplices on board to have support in the execution of his plan. The unexpected attack began when the 51-year-old was unsuspecting to the accused. It was not possible to determine whether the accused carried a tool with him. Fast action on the part of the attackers led them to rely down the victim while lying on the ground. The distant passers -by could only watch helplessly.

During the negotiation, the accused partly admitted to being involved in the crime. The younger co -accused confessed that he had made two strokes in the face, while the older one only granted a kick in the butt. The main defendant, who had taken the initiative for the act, also tried to present another motive for the attack. He claimed that the victim had sexually harassed his daughter, which was not believed by the court.

The punishment and reactions of the accused

At the end of the negotiation, the court decided to condemn the 38-year-old for a prison sentence of two years and six months, while his accomplice received a suspended sentence of one year. The prosecutor had called for a harder punishment in his plea, and the verdict was largely followed by his arguments. The defender of the 38-year-old, on the other hand, demanded a lower punishment, whereupon the court did not introduce.

The 42-year-old showed at least signs of repentance, while the younger accused said without regret: "He got what he deserves." This statement reflects the degree of emotions that were at work in this case. The court's decision is not yet final, and the expectations remain that this strict attitude of the judiciary could possibly have significant consequences for the accused.

This case is not only another example of the escalating violence in urban areas, but also raises questions about basic justice and moral values that prevail in society. Fulda will continue to observe how this case develops against the background of the changing social norms.
