Small citizens in Mini-Fulda: children experience city life up close!
Fulda, Deutschland - In Fulda, the celebrations lasted a whole week when 62 children lived and worked in the exciting miniature city "Mini-Fulda". On Friday they opened the gates for their families and proudly presented their replica of the real city, including town hall, bank and kiosk. The little Fuldaers, between the ages of eight and twelve, not only learned playfully how to lead a city, but also how democracy works and what it is like to take responsibility.
Mayor Leon Schulz, 12 years old, beamed with enthusiasm. "I learned that the mayor has to take care of the city a lot," he emphasized and also had a plan: a cinema for the city! During the week, the children visited real institutions in the city and created posters to draw attention to children's rights. Daily activities included earning mini valleys that were output in the kiosk or cinema. To the crowning glory there was an impressive stage show in which the children present their experiences, accompanied by dance performances and news presentations.
This extraordinary project, led by Vadim Chiljai, has been making a sign of political education and responsible action among children, as well as osthessen-news.de reported.
