In Hesse there is a special event in the house: For the 20th time, the initiative "Art private!" The doors to the art collections of Hessian companies. This measure enables citizens to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of art, at a total of 27 locations in the state. Interested parties can now register for free tours that take place in the period from September 18 to September 22, 2024.

A highlight this year is the Sparkasse Fulda, which offers two tours through its main office on the butter market on Thursday, September 19, 2024. At 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., art lovers and those who want to become one can get to know the impressive collection of the Sparkasse better. Over the years, the financial institution, including its two forwarder institutes, has acquired the works of regional artists. Particular attention is paid to the work "Seen Guided" by the Fulda artist Franz Erhard Walther, who is internationally recognized.

The important bundle consisting of 38 leaves was already acquired by the Sparkasse in the 1980s. In the guided tours during "Art private!" Selected parts of this work are presented. In addition, visitors learn more about works by other important artists such as Ferdinand Lammeyer (1899 - 1995), Konrad Winter (1963) and Claude Wall (1951). The tours not only offer a look at the works of art, but also explain the remarkable architecture of the building complex at the Fuldaer Buttermarkt.

The tours are carried out in close cooperation with the responsible business development agency in the region. The initiative "Art private!" is coordinated on behalf of the Hessian Ministry of Economic Affairs by the Creative Industry Office at the Hesse Agency. The movement originated in 2005 to promote the cultural heritage and the commitment of Hessian companies.
