Process for life-threatening shots on truck drivers started in Fulda
A 44-year-old truck driver stands before the district court of Fulda for attempted murder after he was said to have shot another truck in January. The incident occurred on Autobahn 7 when the accused fired two steel balls onto the cab of the overtaking vehicle with a gas pressure gun. The driver of the other truck who was traveling at 80 km/h was narrowly missed. The public prosecutor speaks of an insidious act that could easily result in a mass accident.
The traumatized victim reported in court about the terrifying events when the windows of his vehicle broke and he was in a state of shock. He alerted the police after trying to control his freight. A dash cam in the truck documented the incident and the police were able to arrest the suspect three weeks later near Oldenburg. During the arrest, a special use command found a gas pressure gun, steel balls and other weapons in the accused vehicle. The process will continue on November 4, followed by a shot report ten days later. Further details are in a report on www.hessenschau.de to read.
