Serious accident on B17: Two drivers seriously injured, road blocked for hours

B17, 86956 Hohenfurch, Deutschland - The B17 between Hohenfurch and Schongau was closed for almost five hours tonight after a dramatic accident took place. A 28-year-old driver came to the oncoming lane in a curve due to an unknown cause and collided head-on with a 23-year-old. The impact was so violent that both vehicles crashed several times against the protective planks.

The fire brigade had to intervene to free the seriously injured drivers from the cars. The co-driver of the 23-year-old was able to free himself, but suffered minor injuries.
