Since the beginning of the year, two to six year olds in Gelsenkirchen have had the opportunity to approach American football. The interest in this new offer is impressive and new registrations are still possible.

The training of the Bambini devil

Since February, the Gelsenkirchen Devils, an American football association league team, have been offering special training for the youngest players. Every Sunday there is a 1.5-hour training session in the sports hall of the elementary school on the heel break. Trainer Patrick Oehring explains: "The kids only need sports clothing and a drink. The necessary training material is provided, and at this age the children do not need a complete football equipment."

A new trainer for the Bambinis

Together with his wife Ramona, Patrick Melech and Rebecca Pohl, long-time Devils player Marvin Kurby leads the training sessions of the little devil. Ramona Oehring emphasizes the importance of training and how frustrating it can be to stand on a waiting list. She is pleased that with Marvin Kurby you were able to win another committed trainer for the team.

At the moment, the Gelsenkirchen Devils can record new sports enthusiasts in their Bambini group, which includes around 20 children. Two children recently said goodbye for personal reasons. Ramona Oehring regrets their departure, but presents the two a loving farewell gift.
