Gelsenkirchen invests millions: This is how the city becomes more beautiful!

Gelsenkirchen receives over four million euros for urban planning improvements. The government president presented five funding notices when visiting the city. With this money, the city wants to proceed against problem houses, especially on Emil-Zimmermann-Allee and Horster Straße. In addition, around one million euros will be invested in the upgrading of Bochumer Straße, while in the districts of Hassel, Schalke-Nord and Neustadt, improvement measures are also promoted.

The aim of this financial support is to increase the cityscape and the quality of life in Gelsenkirchen sustainably. The mayor emphasizes that both private and public construction work will flow into this initiative in order to beautify the appearance of the quarters and to take into account the needs of the citizens.
