Lichtkunst Festival gold pieces illuminates Gelsenkirchen-Buer in October
Gelsenkirchen-Buer. In October, the city center of Buer will shine in new splendor through the Lichtkunst Festival and address important social topics.
a cultural highlight in autumn
In the coming month there is a special event: the Lichtkunst Festival Goldstücken, which is known for its innovative presentation of light installations, will take place again in Buer. From October 2 to October 6th, the events invite visitors to experience urban areas in a new way.
international artists in focus
This year, visitors can look forward to a diverse selection of artistic projects. Eight international artists were selected from 63 applications received, whose work with the topic "Diplopia - what is at risk?" deal with. The presentations will be shown in the building of the Sparkasse Gelsenkirchen-Buer in the Robinienhof. This decision represents an enrichment of the program and opens the cultural exchange at a global level.
from psychological to ecological topics
The submitted projects cover a wide range of topics. The artists deal with psychological aspects, ecological questions and the challenges of digitization. They also take a critical look at social issues, abuse of power and violence. Such topics are of immense interest in today's society and show how art can contribute to initiating important social debates.
gold pieces as a platform for artists
The organization of this festival enables both established and aspiring artists to contribute their perspectives. The artistic director Bettina Pelz emphasizes the importance of this cultural platform: "We show inspiring works that present different perspectives on the world." This promotion of young talents and international artists not only reflects artistic innovation, but also the openness and diversity for which Gelsenkirchen-Buer stands.
The anticipation grows
Cultural director Anne Heselhaus informed her enthusiasm: "The gold pieces bring light art into public space and regularly enchant their visitors." The expectations of the festival are high, especially because the overall program is not yet fully shown in September. The exact composition of the artistic contributions will be published shortly and promises a remarkable diversity.
