Rammstein Tour 2024: Expensive tickets and the legal situation - what fans need to know!

High ticket prices for Rammstein concerts: Is the resale legal?

The controversial band Rammstein is planning its Europe Stadium Tour in 2024. Seven concerts are planned throughout Germany: five in Gelsenkirchen between July 26 and 31 and two in Frankfurt am Main on Friday, July 12th, and Saturday, July 13th. The tickets are in great demand, although there was a scandal around the singer Till Lindemann.

The prices of the tickets are between 70 and 131 euros and are already sold out. They are currently offered on resale platforms such as Viagogo, Stubhub, Inc. or Gigsberg at prices in the four-digit range.

The legal situation in the resale of personalized tickets

According to a current media report, the most expensive tickets should cost 5897 euros. These extremely high prices have caused Rammstein to warn their fans: "Rammstein tickets that are purchased on these platforms do not entitle the show to enter." The band checks the ID cards for the personalized tickets. The only authorized dealer for resolved tickets of the band is the Fansale.de platform.

Can concert organizers actually refuse to enter if a ticket was bought for almost 6000 euros? Attorney Christian Solmecke explains: "The highlight of such tickets is that - like most event tickets these days - they are personalized. Only the person whose name is on the ticket and who can identify themselves is entitled to enter."

How can Rammstein tickets be legally resold?

According to the general terms and conditions (AGB) of MCT Agentur GmbH, which sells the tickets for the Rammstein concerts, private resale is only permitted via the Fansale.de platform and for a fee of 10 euros. Even if the ticket is taken over by friends or relatives, the platform must be used. There is a price limit that corresponds to the original ticket price.

penalties in violation of the terms and conditions

Shortly before the event on site, a ticket can be resold for a fee of 10 euros and with presentation of the ID. Anyone who violates the general terms and conditions risks that all bought tickets are canceled. If there is repeated violation, the ticket can be blocked without reimbursement of the price.
