Security at the train station: Gelsenkirchen police thwarted thefts and weapons!
On Wednesday, October 30th, a massive security checkpoint at Gelsenkirchen Central Station led to a real campaign. A total of 288 people were checked between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. in a joint commitment of the Gelsenkirchen police, federal police and the municipal regulatory service. During these controls, not only an arrest warrant flew, but also several people had to answer for violations of the Narcotics and Weapons Act. In addition, 31 references were made and several criminal complaints were made.
A particularly brazen incident occurred when a 19-year-old stole a perfume worth 75 euros from a drugstore. The Bulgarian citizen is now on trial for theft. In another 16-year-old, the officials found a one-hand knife and a fireworks body, while a 19-year-old had another one-hand knife and a 39-year-old a whipped ring. All dangerous objects were ensured. The police emphasize that such security operations will continue to be carried out in the future in order to strengthen the security feeling of the citizens, reports www.presseportal.de .
