New club for talented right -back: Steven van der Sloot changes to Ado den Haag

A talented young right -back found a new club at Schalke 04 after his time. Steven van der Sloot will now play the Hague for the next two years.

van der Sloot had shown last season what he can do, but was not able to secure a new contract with Schalke. Now the Dutch second division club Ado Den Haag has recognized his potential and hired it free of charge.

The technical director of Ado den Hagi, Joris Mathijsen, is confident that Van der Sloot will be real added value for the team with his experience and talent. The player himself looks forward to the new challenge and hopes to be able to contribute to the success of the association.

van der Sloot began his career in Ado's youth before moving to Feyenoord and finally landed in the renowned academy of Ajax Amsterdam. He then played in Schalke's U23 team for two years before looking for a new club.

Although he supported Schalke 04 in some games of last season, the club now relies on other players for the right -back position. With the newcomer Adrian Gantenbein and Mehmet Can Aydin, the right side will be filled in the coming season.
