Swift hype in Gelsenkirchen: sign auctioned for 28,000 euros!

Gronau, Deutschland - After the spectacular concerts by Taylor Swift in Gelsenkirchen, the city auctioned the associated "Swiftkirchen" signs. A total of 20 of these unique signs, which served as a tribute to the US pop singer, found new owners for around 28,000 euros. The proceeds go to social institutions in Gelsenkirchen. One of the signs has already been auctioned at the Rock’n’Popmuseum in Gronau, where the mayor will be solemnly presented on Tuesday.

The museum plans its own showcase to adequately present the sign, including a special “Taylor Swift corner”-however, it will take months for the new exhibition to be accessible to visitors. The signs were hung in summer and enjoyed great popularity with fans as a photo motif. One of the signs is now also in the House of History in Bonn, which leads the reception of the Swift hype nationwide. Further information is available on this on www1.wdr.de .
