Lecture in the Gelsenkirchen Clinic: Recognize and treat pancreatic diseases!
On the occasion of the World Pancreas Cancer Day on November 21, the Evangelische Klinikum Gelsenkirchen is organizing an important discussion for those affected by pancreas. This round -accompanied round enables people to ask their burning questions and to exchange ideas with experts and other sick people. The increase in diagnoses is particularly worrying: more and more people are developing pancreatic cancer every year, including younger patients.
The team around Prof. Dr. Chris Braumann, head of the Clinic for General, Visceral and Vascular Surgery, emphasizes that not every disease of the pancreas has to lead to cancer. Early surgical interventions can often significantly reduce the risk of malignant tumors. The event aims to raise awareness of the treatment options and to point out complications such as diabetes. The participants have the opportunity to exchange ideas about their diagnoses and to draw courage through the dialogue. The event will take place on November 21, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the boardroom of the Evangelical Clinic Gelsenkirchen. Registration is required under evk-ge.de or by phone on 0209 160-1801.
