Zugchaos between Gelsenkirchen and Münster: Keep in Recklinghausen!
between Münsterland and Ruhr area there are trait cancellations in long -distance transport. Deutsche Bahn has announced that the trains between Gelsenkirchen and Münster are diverted. Travelers have to adapt to the resulting stop in Recklinghausen Central Station and longer travel times. According to Bahninfo, the train failures are due to bridge work, in particular to the expansion of the Autobahn 43 and the renewal of the Emschertal Bridge in Herne. This bridge runs over the tracks of the railway line, which is why Deutsche Bahn has to adjust its track infrastructure. The closures are expected to be planned by November 4 at 9 p.m.
The railway recommends that all travelers find out about the current connections, including in local transport before starting driving. Including new overhead line masts, the affected section is working on the rail infrastructure. A comprehensive overview of the affected regional train lines is available to help travelers plan their trips. For more information, see the current reporting on www.wn.de .
