Sheep on the move: Firefighters become the animal saver in Langenberg!

In an amusing rescue operation in Langenberg, a frightened sheep was saved from a swimming pool. The firefighters of fire and rescue station 1 were alerted when the animal swam exhausted in the pool of a private property. The rescuers pulled the sheep out of the water and secured it with a fire brigade. Since there was no herd nearby, they brought the undesirable animal to the Gera animal shelter, where it was temporarily accommodated.

However, the sheep showed an unusual bond with fire chief Alexander Wolf and shortened shortly afterwards, apparently in search of him. The fire brigade was alerted again and was able to quickly capture the outlier again. After a warm hug between wolf and the animal, the sheep was finally brought back to safety. This simple but loving story underlines the unexpected moments that everyday life brings with the emergency services. Further information about this incident can be found on www.gera.de .
