At the University of Mainz, a program is therefore offered that trains students in life -saving skills. The training focuses on learning basics such as the detection of a cardiovascular arrest. The students learn to set the emergency call, correctly carry out the mouth-to-mouth ventilation, carry out a cardiac massage and the use of a defibrillator. These skills are crucial because they can save lives in an emergency.
