Initiative for health promotion at primary schools in the Allgäu

A healthy lifestyle is crucial for well -being - and it is precisely what students learn in primary school. The AOK in Kempten-Oberallgäu-Lindau again supported primary schools on site with the Prevention Program Class2000 this school year. A special focus was on classes 1a and 1b of the Konrad-Adenauer primary school in Kempten, where 50 students were allowed to take part in the program.

The goal of class2000 is to convey important health and life skills at an early stage so that they grow up healthy, strongly and confidently. Stefan Müller, team leader of the AOK Kempten-Oberallgäu-Lindau, officially handed over the sponsorship confirmation to the headmaster Michael Klein to start the program.

A healthy lifestyle at a young age is of great importance, since eating and movement habits can be shaped early and can have long-term effects on health. Michael Klein, headmaster of the Konrad-Adenauer primary school, emphasized the playful approach of the program, which enables important content to be easily integrated into everyday school life.

parents, teachers and students also have the opportunity to use the learning website www.klarolabor.de to interactively explore additional breaks, relaxation stories and tips from the class2000 program.

The cooperation between the AOK and primary schools in the Allgäu shows how important the promotion of health is already at a young age. Programs such as class2000 give children the opportunity to learn important skills for their physical and mental health and to benefit from a healthy lifestyle in the long term.
