In Gießen, 30 newly -baked painters and painters said goodbye to their training period in a solemn ceremony and received their journeyman's letters. This event took place in the "Lahngenuss" restaurant of the Hassia Rowing Club in 1906 and celebrated the success of 22 painters and painters as well as eight vehicle painters, who are now officially considered full specialists after two and a half to three years of intensive training. Uwe Bock, the deputy general manager of the Gießen district craftsmanship, emphasized the passion associated with this craft, and made it clear that the painting craft goes far beyond the pure painting of walls.
"You are those who make living dreams out of living rooms," emphasized Bock and turned directly to the young journeyman. These words underline the creative potential that the painter's craft harbors. It is about not only making rooms colorful, but also realizing wishes, making people happy and creating unique forms of expression.
design a piece of future
Hartmut Gall, the long-time chief master of the painting and painting guild, also addressed inspiring words to the graduates. He encouraged the new craftsmen to look forward to the challenges of the future: "The new construction activity will no longer achieve the high level of the past, but the renovation of existing real estate will bring a lot of work." Gall also pointed out that the impending pension of the BabyBoomer generation will open many opportunities for newcomers. "Everyone counts with us, no matter where they come from. Take the courage and stay with the craft," he encouraged the young people and underlined the valuable place they can take in the craft.
The joy of passing the exams was noticeable when the journeyman's letters and final certificates were presented by the members of the examination board. This award not only marks a personal goal for the graduates, but also opens up the door to professional practice. Leonard van Zon, who was awarded the best painter of his year, and Luke Wenzel, who was represented the guild in the state competition, received special recognition. The best vehicle painters, Salvatore Miniaci and Werner Dielmann, were also recognized.
The graduates come from different places in and around watering and have completed their training in different training companies. The variety of locations and companies shows the broad spectrum of the possibilities that young craftsmen are open today. From the traditional workshop to modern companies in the region that attach great importance to creativity and craft.
The ceremony not only offered space for congratulations and celebrations, but also for a look into the future. With a clear commitment to continuous further training, Uwe Bock concluded his speech: "Your chances are good, but you never learn in the craft." This idea shows that the training is not the end, but rather the beginning of a continuous learning trip that will accompany young craftsmen on their professional path.
