Touching exhibition reveals the personal fate behind the uniforms

"A perspective on the human" - exhibition illuminates personal stories of emergency services

The exhibition "Man behind" was opened by police chief Torsten Krückemeier in a solemn ceremony on July 8th, 2024 in the Sparkasse Gießen. It presents touching experiences of emergency services that have been confronted with violence and focuses on their personal fates. Through portraits and background texts, visitors get a deep insight into the stories and challenges of these people in uniform.

The exhibition, organized by the "Initiative for Respect and Tolerance", is directed against increasing hostility and attacks on the police, fire brigade and rescue workers. It aims to strengthen awareness of respectful interaction in society.

A central component of the opening speech by police chief Torsten Krückemeier was the emphasis on humanity and appreciation towards the emergency services. He underlined that it is important to see and recognize these people not only as a representative of their professions, but as individuals.

The exhibition "The man behind it" is from the 09.07. to visit in Gießen by 28.07.2024 . It offers visitors the opportunity to deal with the personal stories of the emergency services and exchange ideas with them.
