From August 17th to 31st, 2024, the Willy-Czech-Halle transformed into a center for handball, where players from various leagues will fight for the coveted "Wutzchen". This tradition in its 33rd edition shows not only the enthusiasm for sport, but also the creative connection of handball and regional culinary delights.

The response to the tournament was so strong that the team of organizers decided to increase the field of participants. A total of six “wutts” are now being awarded, compared to five last year. This illustrates the continuing popularity of handball in the region, and the organizers have used the opportunity to integrate an additional tournament into the process.

This year the men will compete in different classes, including the district league and the district class. Women can also look forward to two competitions where they go into competition in the Oberliga/District League and the district league/district class. The tournament makes this diversity attractive for players of all levels of experience.

The game run and highlights

On the opening day, August 17th, the first kick -off is at 3:00 p.m. when the team TV Wetzlar II plays against HSG Marburg/Cappel III. The audience can look forward to a total of 36 exciting games that represent the sporting highlight in the region. On August 31, the big final day will be celebrated from 11:30 a.m., a highlight for which many handball fans are eagerly waiting.
