Remove barriers together: Take part in the inclusive district of Langgöns!

The challenges of everyday life with which many people are faced with are diverse. Old people, lonely individuals, people with disabilities, people with language barriers and financially disadvantaged often need support to live a self -determined life. In Langgöns, this topic is taken up and actively addressed as part of the “Inclusive District” project.

The importance of a common dialogue

in Langgöns, one of four model municipalities in the district of Gießen, the community is invited to bring in their ideas to improve social interaction. Inclusion, Understood as the Integration and Equal Participation of All People in Society, is a central element to ensure that nobody is excluded. This means not only the creation of support offers, but also the encouragement of the citizens: inside, to express their perspectives and needs.

practical options for participation

An ideas box in the Rewe market Travaci in Langgöns offers an easy way to make suggestions or to point out problems. Alternatively, citizens can also contribute their ideas online via the Gießen district. This digital platform ensures broad access and encourages active participation.

committed citizens: Design the future on the inside

Frank Ide, the district's social head, emphasizes the importance of the opinions and experiences of the citizens: "You know best what changes are required to create more commonality." Mayor Marius Reusch also underlines the valuable role of the committed residents, in particular the members of the associations and the senior advisory board, who can bring their many years of experience into the process.

a future in community

The end of the project is marked by a citizens' dialogue event, in which the proposals and ideas of the citizens are discussed on Friday, October 25th, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the community center in Niederkleen. This event offers an important opportunity to work together on an inclusive future for Langgöns.
