TSG Wieseck celebrates last-minute victory in the C-Junior Hessenliga

In the C-Junior Hessenliga, TSG Wieseck was able to achieve a dramatic victory at the last moment last weekend. While the Wiesecker boys around coach Soufiane Moussaoui cheered, the game for FC Gießen was not so gratifying. These games not only showed exciting twists, but also the challenges with which the teams are confronted this season.

The TSG Wieseck prevailed 2-1 in the duel against Viktoria Griesheim, which she catapulted to the top of the table after two match days. At the beginning of the game, the team noticed a certain nervousness. After just a few minutes, however, the Wiesecker had their first opportunity to brush the post. But the early behind in the seventh minute, when Griesheim scored the first goal, woke up the players. In the 23rd minute, Jannis Kuhn made the left corner with a precise shot in the left corner. Coach Moussaoui praised this move as "fantastic" and emphasized the team spirit of his boys.

The crucial moment

The second half was dominated by Wieseck, which Griesheim held in his own half. Despite numerous opportunities, the important winning goal only came in the third minute of stoppage time. Yakup Kömürcü redeemed the Wieseck fans with his goal, who rewarded the team's patience and the fighting spirit. Moussaoui emphasized that despite the interim compensation, the players did not become nervous and believed in themselves.

On the other hand, FC Gießen had a difficult match against Kickers Offenbach. Although the Gießener coaches and players had gotten a lot, tactical defects prevailed in the first half. "We were not closely with the opponents," said coach Panagiotis Apostolou after the game. An individual mistake made the first goal possible for the Offenbachers, and shortly afterwards the second followed. After the break, however, the Gießen team showed a different face and was able to make the second half balanced. Apostolou noted that although they performed more, but the individual mistakes were decisive. The final score of 0: 2 was nevertheless frustrating for the team from Gießen.
