Future of teaching: Conference on the THM sets innovative impulses
joint future visions for teaching
pour (red). The Technical University of Middle Hesse (THM) has organized a forward -looking conference on the Friedberg campus entitled "Teaching Futures - Challenge Accepted". This event brought teachers, students and researchers from various universities to discuss new teaching and learning methods and to actively shape the future educational landscape.
innovative approaches and international perspectives
The conference attracted 150 on site and 80 online participants, including a group of ten students from Colombia and other contributions from countries such as Ukraine and the Netherlands. Such international perspectives are crucial to promote global exchange about education and to integrate different teaching approaches.
important topics for university education
Central topics of the conference included the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in university teaching and innovative learning designs. The participants had the opportunity to actively shape the future of teaching in six workshops and to exchange ideas about cooperative digital learning. These formats meet the needs of the students and enable flexible, interactive learning.
insights into current projects
Another highlight of the event was a practical insight into the work of the Center for Blind and Visually Impaired students (Bliz) of the THM and the VR/AR laboratories of the partner universities in the NIDIT project. These offers illustrate the efforts of the universities to integrate inclusivity and the latest technologies into the educational process.
cooperation for sustainable changes
The conference was carried out as part of several cooperations, including the NIDIT project that wants to strengthen the digital teaching skills of university lecturers. Cooperation with 13 Hessian universities in the Hessenhub network is continuously working on innovative concepts to advance digital teaching.
conclusion: shape the future
like Professor Katja Specht, Vice President of the THM for study and teaching, emphasized: "We take a look into the future today". The committed discussions and contributions show the striving for universities not only to improve teaching, but also to make them more fair and more international. Such events are essential to promote sustainable changes and offer the students of tomorrow the best possible education.
