Fraudulent call: Caution of deception in Königshufen!

in Görlitz is a wave of fraudulent calls in circulation, in which crooks pretend to be police officers. The perpetrators push the called with invented stories to reveal information about their assets. A senior citizen in Königshufen received a call in which she was supposedly informed that she should be robbed. The fraudster offered to take their gold bars into custody for safety. Fortunately, the lady quickly ended the conversation. There were similar calls in the city center, where a false criminal officer asked for a white van who allegedly wanted to commit burglaries.

The local criminal police have taken up the investigation and praises the prudent behavior of the citizens who have not responded to the fraudsters. The police urgently warns of this fraud stitch and gives an important note: perpetrators often use publicly accessible telephone numbers to select their victims. It is recommended to check together with relatives whether your own number really has to be published and, if necessary, to choose a new, anonymous number to protect yourself.
