Dangerous weapons pulled out of circulation: the police stops Polish duo

Görlitz, A4

motorway

Last Sunday, law enforcement officers secured some explosive items at the motorway rest area at the Neisse, including knives and an irritant sprayer. The commitment occurred when a Polish BMW was stopped for control. Both the 49-year-old driver and his 46-year-old passenger indicated the direct question of whether they had dangerous objects that this was the case. This honest answer got the two into legal difficulties.

The police searched the vehicle and found a jumping knife in the storage of the driver's door and another one -handed knife that was worn in his pocket. Both knives were ensured and the two men were now faced with the suspicion of a violation of the weapons law.

irritant gas and stun guns

But the incidents did not end here. Just a few hours later, the officials noticed a 42-year-old Pole, who carried an irritant sprayer without the required labeling when crossing the border to Germany. A criminal complaint was also submitted against him for a violation of the weapons law, and he had to leave the motorway control point with a further investigation.

These controls are not only routine, but also show the watchful attitude of the security forces towards potential threats on the streets. A few days earlier, on Friday, the federal police arrested a 47-year-old man on Lutherplatz in Görlitz. He had an electric shocker device camouflaged as a flashlight, which was also illegal.

In such security controls, it becomes clear that the laws in Germany are taken seriously for security of weapons. The federal police strive to keep dangerous objects away from the streets to ensure public security. Such measures are an indication of how important it is that citizens are informed about the legal provisions in order to avoid unwanted legal consequences.

The police approach is an example of preventive measures that should help to recognize and eliminate potential dangers at an early stage. These developments are important in order to maintain the feeling of security of the population and to set a sign against the unauthorized use of weapons and dangerous objects.
