Görlitz gets a new water feature: Water water enlivens the city center!

Görlitz is facing exciting change! The city council's technical committee has approved the impressive draft "Wirding Water" of the Dresden office Rehwaldt landscape architects for the small square on Leipziger Strasse and Landeskronstrasse. After intensive consultations, a jury of experts, supported by residents, preferred this design. The water feature, which had been criticized due to technical problems in the past, is now being completely redesigned.

The tender for this spray pleasure could begin in spring 2025, with completion in autumn of the same year. The city will bear 25 percent of the costs to be able to transform this place into a living gem.
