Commitment to kickers: A benefit tournament for Görlitz
An exciting event is imminent: On October 25th, a benefit kickers' tournament will take place in the large hall of the Rabryka in Görlitz. Organized by the Görlitzer Kickerking Association, the income of this event is to be used to provide quality table footballers for facilities that take care of children and young people. The tournament starts at 4:30 p.m. and ends with an after -show party at 10 p.m.

The goal of the benefit tournament is not only in the sporting competition, but in the concrete support of the youth. "A table football can become a place in a youth club where social skills are promoted," explains Levin Patzelt, member of the association. Values such as team spirit, fairness and the ability to deal with Frustration are the focus. Children and adolescents can not only have fun here, but also acquire important life skills.

All companies from the region who want to provide a team are welcome to register by September 18. The entry fee of 50 euros not only sees itself as a participation fee, but as a small contribution to the big picture - the support of local social institutions. A team can consist of three to six members, whereby a maximum of one team is allowed to ensure broad participation.

The Görlitzer Kickerking association was founded in 2009 and officially registered in 2013. The father of two, Sebastian Frinker, who works as a digitization expert for Siemens Energy, is already enthusiastic about the first registrations. "We contacted some companies that have already shown interest," says Frinker. Through the tournament, the companies have the opportunity to strengthen the cohesion of their employees while making a contribution to a social project at the same time

For all those who want to experience the kicker pleasure themselves, the club sometimes offers open training. Interested parties can come over at the regular opening times, Tuesdays from 7 p.m. and Fridays from 8 p.m. and let off steam in the club rooms at Dr.-Friedrichs-Straße 9. There is also the possibility to rent table football for celebrations.
